Meet Leo, the Heart Behind Samra Knots
Leo is a special part of our family and the calm presence in my creative space. He’s my fluffy little assistant, often curled by the cord pile during late-night knotting sessions. His calm demeanor and curious gaze subtly appear in many product shoots.
Yet, in February 2025, our lives took an unexpected and profound turn. A car tragically hit Leo, and he vanished for nearly 24 agonizing hours. When we finally located him, he was barely breathing. The impact had shattered his jaw, and his small body was in a truly dire state.
This kicked off a difficult time, requiring us to focus solely on survival and recovery. Through it all, we witnessed the incredible strength of community love. The experience truly redefined our understanding of resilience.

One week after surgery, he watched the world with great strength in his eyes. His spirit was truly like a lionheart.
The Accident That Shook Us
One cold, quiet February day, Leo vanished, leaving an immediate and unsettling emptiness. After nearly 24 terrible hours of frantic searching, we found him: bleeding, covered in mud, and barely conscious. We rushed him to the emergency vet, holding onto desperate hope for his recovery despite the severity of his injuries.

A Long Road to Healing
Leo’s recovery required major surgery, where vets skillfully inserted metal plates into his jaw. For weeks, he needed dedicated, round-the-clock care and syringe feeding. He remained remarkably weak, but despite his condition, his calm, gentle, and brave spirit always shone through. His enduring resilience inspired us daily.
Then, in June, a new challenge emerged: an infection around one of the plates led to another surgery. This brought a fresh wave of fear and anxiety. Still, with astounding resilience, Leo pressed on, visibly growing stronger and braver each successive day.
The Community That Carried Us
The flood of love and steadfast support we received during that extremely trying time was a huge help.

"We're behind you, Leo!"
These phrases were a great source of encouragement. Every kind word, donation, and thought helped us greatly through the crisis. This steady support reminded us that we weren't alone. Leo became more than just my beloved cat; he became everyone’s special little lion.
This handmade tribute to Leo, made with love, strength, and golden yarn, tells a deeper story. It reminds us that behind every knot, a story unfolds.
A Handmade Tribute
This experience became the deep-seated inspiration for our Macrame Cat Wall Hanging.
One day, observing Leo as he peacefully rested by the window, a powerful inspiration struck me. I wanted to create a unique, tangible tribute just for him. Using soft golden yarn, carefully chosen for its warmth, and simple, meaningful shapes, I knotted a piece designed to show his extraordinary strength and peaceful spirit.
This handcrafted tribute now prominently graces my studio. It serves as a daily reminder that behind every knot, a story unfolds. This piece embodies the immense love and deep resilience that inspire Samra Knots, fueling every creation that leaves my hands.
