Materials You’ll Need
3mm cotton cord (use two colors for a two-tone heart effect)
1 keychain clasp or lobster clasp
Scissors
Brush or comb (to finish the fringe)
Step-by-Step Instructions
Prepare Your Cords
Cut 4 cords at approximately 80 cm each, plus 1 shorter cord at 30 cm.
Fold and attach cords to the clasp using Lark’s Head Knots.
Create the Heart Shape
On the left side, use Diagonal Double Half Hitch Knots to start forming the curve of the heart.
Repeat the same pattern on the right side to create symmetry.
Add Extra Cord
To give your heart its shape, add an extra cord and continue knotting down both sides.
You’ll see the top curve and the narrowing point come together.
Finish the Design
Bring all cords together with diagonal knots into one common base.
Secure everything with a Gathering Knot.
Brush out and trim the fringe evenly for a neat finish.
