Meet Leo, the Heart Behind Samra Knots
Leo isn’t just a cat — he’s family. My fluffy little assistant, always close during late-night knotting sessions, curled up by the cord pile, or sneakily photobombing a product shoot.
But in February 2025, everything changed. Leo was hit by a car and disappeared for nearly 24 hours. When we finally found him, he was barely breathing. His jaw was shattered, his tongue swollen, and his little body in a terrible state. What followed was a long, emotional journey of survival, healing, and the incredible strength of community love.

The Accident That Shook Us
It was a cold, quiet February day. Leo vanished, and we searched everywhere — calling his name, checking bushes and streets. Nearly 24 hours later, we found him: bleeding, muddy, barely conscious. His jaw was broken. We rushed him to emergency care, unsure what would come next.
Resting, recovering, and teaching us all what quiet bravery looks like.
A Long Road to Healing
Leo underwent major surgery to insert metal plates into his jaw. He couldn’t eat on his own for weeks. He was quiet, weak, and yet — still Leo. Calm, gentle, and brave.
In June, one of the plates had to be removed due to infection. Another surgery. Another wave of fear. But he kept going. Stronger every day. Braver than ever.
The Community That Carried Us
The love and support we received during that time meant everything. Messages from friends and followers poured in:
“Come on, Leo the Lionheart!”
“You’ve definitely used all 9 lives.”
“We’re behind you, Leo!”
“Such a brave boy.”
Every word, every donation, every kind thought helped us through. Leo wasn’t just my cat anymore. He became everyone’s little lion.

A Handmade Tribute
One day, watching Leo rest quietly by the window, I was inspired to create something just for him. Using soft golden yarn and simple shapes, I knotted a tribute to his strength and calm spirit. It now hangs in my studio — a daily reminder of the love and resilience that power Samra Knots.
Leo is doing well now. He naps in the sun, eats with joy, and still finds his way into my product photos. His story is one of pain, yes — but more than anything, it’s a story of hope, healing, and handmade love.
